The FireBox 8 plugs into any 20 amp household outlet and with its compact size you can fire it up almost anywhere. This kiln can reach fusing temperatures in less than 20 minutes and has a rating of 2000° F. The FireBox 8 has a hinged lid so you don’t have to worry about where to put the hot lid when opening the kiln. The buckled base separates from the bottom so you can load work on the base and then slip the kiln over the shelf and back onto the base. This prevents your work from being disturbed while moving it, as it would in a conventional top-loading-only kiln. A wooden handle makes it safe and easy to open the kiln with one hand. A digital pyrometer that's included with the Firebox 8 allows you to make holding at specific temperatures far easier. There's even a convenient handle on the back of the kiln that makes it very easy to carry.
