| COLOUR DE VERRE SERPENTINE FORMERS & TOOLS | ||||
| Colour de Verre's versatile Serpentine Formers are used to shape rods, stringers, noodles and glass ribbons into "waves", "squigglies" and other interesting patterns. The resulting shapes can then be used as design elements to decorate boxes, plates, platters, sconces, and lamps. The Serpentine Formers are available in 3 different sizes; 1/2", 3/4" and 1" wide. The formers are a high quality, dense, extruded ceramic form, not to be confused with the typically cast ceramic mold. Primo Primer is highly recommended by Colour de Verre for use with their molds. If you would like to use a boron nitride spray release for your molds, Colour de Verre highly recommends MR-97. | ||||

SERPENTINE FORMERS- Small
CdV's small formers are ideal for the tightest, most delicate waves; ideal for jewelry and small design elements. Six formers come in the set and each former is 6" long by 1/2" wide. Spaced 5/8" apart, each peak of rod will be approximately 1" - 1.25" apart depending on the diameter of glass rod or stringer used.

SERPENTINE FORMERS- Medium
CdV's medium formers are 3/4" wide creating a medium spaced squiggly with the peaks approximately 1.5" - 1.75" apart. The resulting shapes are ideal for plates, platters, boxes and bowls. Five formers come to a set and each former is 3/4" wide by 6" long.

SERPENTINE FORMERS- Large
The large Serpentine Formers are 6" long by 1" wide and come 5 to a set. They create the largest waves that are great for big projects like platters, panels and large bowls. The peaks of the waves will be approximately 2" - 2.25" apart.

COLOR BLENDER/MOSAIC TILE
The Color Blender is the easiest and most accurate test for blending two or more frits together. It's an ideal way to test percentages of colored frit in relation to clear frit for creating tints of a color. Each of the 16 wells holds 5 grams of frit to make it easy to determine how much clear to color frit to create a specific tint. Many mosaic and jewelry artists like using the Blender for making 3/4" square "chicklets". Dimensions: each well 3/4" square; overall size- 5" square x 1" tall.
