SWAP TOP 8" FLAT LAP

Inland Craft Products introduces the newest addition to its SwapTop family of products, the 8" Flat Lap. With over 75% more diamond surface than the 6" Flat Lap, the new 8" version is a glass workers dream come true. The work surface and splash guard have been totally redesigned to allow access to the outermost edge of the disks which facilitates grinding and polishing of the largest possible pieces. The redesigned work surface will accept both 6" and 8" laps. Its water cooled system means no messy oil to clean up and its faster RPM motor allows you to quickly polish your fused or kiln worked glass. You can now grind and polish the edges of your plates, bowls, vases, dichroic jewelry or even your flame-worked beads!

The 8” Flat Lap includes: the motor unit, base and grinder work surface, four 8" diamond laps, 2 acrylic Master Laps, polishing pad, polishing powder, brush, water drip system, splash guard, arbor, and instruction guide. The four 8" diamond laps included are; 170, 325, 600, and 1200 grit. 8" laps in other grit sizes are available separately.

The machine is quiet and powerful with a direct drive permanent magnet DC motor that is stronger than other machines you will find for two or three times the price. With its no hassle assembly, operation is easy and straight forward, and diamond disk changes take less than a minute. Inland's 8" flat lap disks are available in 8 different grits to suit a multitude of applications.

The 8" Flat Lap can also be converted to a Swap-Top came saw, trim saw, or glass grinder with optional conversion kits. An 8" Flat Lap Conversion kit is also available if you already own a Swap-Top saw or grinder (#2242-CK).

If you already own a SwapTop Came Saw, Trim Saw, Grinder, or GTO grinder you can purchase the 8" Flat Lap Conversion Kit and turn your SwapTop into an 8" Flat Lap machine. The conversion kit includes; the 8" Flat Lap work surface, four 8" diamond laps, polishing pad, polishing powder, brush, water drip system, splash guard, master lap, arbor, and instruction guide. The four 8" diamond laps included are; 170, 325, 600, and 1200 grit.
