- As implied by its name, the Zephyr ring saw cuts like the wind. Smooth and quiet, the Zephyr has a round blade and can cut glass in any direction. The overhead blade support is slender, allowing the glass artist to have a very clear view of the material as it is cut. In addition, the Zephyr has a deeper throat, larger worksurface, and more clearance than other consumer glass saws.
Special attention has been given to designing the saw for quiet operation and for low maintenance. Critical moving parts are shielded to minimize wear and tear. The highest quality bearings and wheels are used to extend the life of these critical parts.
The saw can be removed from the basin to cut glass that cannot easily be brought to the table. The Gryphon Zephyr will cut glass, tile, rock and all other similar hard materials. Several optional blades are offered including a Separating blade and a Fine blade. The diamond blades for the Zephyr are less expensive than other consumer glass saw blades.
