YOUGHIOGHENY STIPPLE GLASS

Founded in 1976, Youghiogheny has been making Stipple glass since 1984. Stipple glass is unique because the base color white is not an opal like all other opalescent glass, rather a translucent white with the visual quality of ice. Since it is not as opaque as an opal white, any color which is added to the "ice" white, seems to tear and shred and gives the appearance of layers of color in the glass. Not only does this glass have tremendous depth and translucency, but the very fine texture of the stipple opacifies even the strong light of an incadescent bulb. For this reason, Stipple glass is a favorite among Tiffany reproduction lamp artists and also window artists.

Full sheets of Stipple are 24" x 36" and can be picked up at our showroom. Smaller sizes can be shipped by UPS as shown below. Small and Large sheets cannot be shipped together. Orders with 2 sizes of glass will be shipped in separate boxes.
