SHIPPING POLICY

We find that many mail order companies charge shipping rates according to the total dollar amount of an order, ignoring the weight of the package.  That may simplify shipping rates for the customer, but in many situations, it also creates unfair charges.  As an example, a customer may order 100 dollar's worth of Austrian Crystals which are small and lightweight.  Many companies would charge up to $10 in shipping charges based solely on the dollar amount of the order.  Since the package is small and lightweight, we would only charge $4.95 to ship such an order.

For this reason, our shipping rates are based on the weight (and in some cases the size) of the package.  We find it is the only fair way to charge for shipping.  We do not wish to make a profit on shipping charges.  We do have a minimum shipping charge of $4.95, but beyond that, we only charge what the carriers are charging us to ship your package.  It is in our best interest to keep the shipping charges as inexpensive as possible to encourage you, the customer, to order from us again.  If you order something heavy or bulky, it is only fair that you pay for the weight of the package.  More often than not though, you will benefit from this policy when your package is expensive in value and light in weight.

When we ask that you add a fixed dollar amount to your order (if you are sending a check or money order), please understand it is only an estimated shipping amount.  You will be charged for the weight, and in some cases if the box is oversized, for the size of your package.  You will be refunded if you've overpaid, and billed if the shipping allowance was not enough.  If you would like more accurate shipping rates, please call us at 1-800-669-7151.
