| LEAD CAME Our lead came is now manufactured for the most part by Cascade Metals. Our 1/16" UF and 1/8" UR is still manufactured by Canfield Technologies. Cascade was founded in 1971 and produces a lead came from a very closely controlled alloy that combines a fine grain structure with high strength. Cascade Metals start with 100% pure lead to which they add exacting quantities of tin, antimony, copper and bismuth. The came is still 99% pure lead but you can now stretch the lead to the breaking point and still maintain fine grain structure. All lead came is sold in 6 foot lengths. Narrower lead cames (1/16" & 1/8") can be rolled in a coil to save on shipping costs. We commonly ship lead in PVC tubes in either 3 foot lengths or 6 foot lenghts. The charge for the 3 foot tube is $5.00; the charge for the 6 foot tube is $13.00. The $13.00 includes the UPS extra handling charge of $8.00. The came tube charge may or may not appear properly in the shopping cart, but will be charged when invoiced. Shipping tubes will take approximately 30 strands of lead depending on the size of the lead. Absolutely no returns on came. No exceptions. Click on an image to go to shopping cart. |
